Partner Suncoast

Suncoast Shorebird Partnership


Location: Pasco, Pinellas, Manatee, Sarasota, and Hillsborough Counties

Formed: March 2002

Meetings: Two formal meetings and one volunteer event per year, usually at Eckerd College in St. Petersburg.

Fun facts

- We were the first partnership!

- We have the only Least Tern chick-banding program in the state, and a volunteer-supported resighting program that has recorded stopover of federally endangered Interior Least Terns.

- Egmont Key annually hosts the largest Laughing Gull colony in the state with over 25,000 nesting pairs.
